I went through a big financial crisis - it&#039;s called divorce - ouch - still paying for that mistake! :) Shortly after, I also lost my job - the company went bust - no redundancy payment. It was all downhill from there. I think what helped me was the realization that no matter how bad things get - life goes on - it&#039;s what you make of it. I subsequently started my own business, and dug myself out of over £150K of debt, and became a mortgage free home owner in 6 years. Funnily enough, despite having nothing, and virtually no money, I can look back and say that not only were those years ones in which I experienced the most personal growth, and the most freedom - they turned out to be among the happiest. I&#039;m currently in the process of unwinding some of the things I&#039;ve acquired - like a house, car, and new job, and going back to basics...]]></description>
