Dear Mr. Altucher,

I just read your article (at Marketwatch) regarding the repeal of Congress. Wonderful!! However, since I know nothing about your views on other intertwined matters, I hope you won't find me foolish in making a few statements in response.

First and foremost, the people who put the current governmental system into practice were all white, wealthy slave owners. Given human passions and greed, it only stands to reason that they would put a system into place that supports their views, lifestyles and above all, political power.

In brief, the reason that our government, as well as most governments at the national level exist, is to promote business success and it's result--money. This is called "corporatism," though we euphemistically call it "republic" or "democracy." This includes an inherent belief that the system is "good", can't possibly be "bad"and always leads to greater wealth, which, translated from that perspective to the non-wealthy, disempowered masses, we are told, means, "life is always getting better."

One need not look far to determine that this is all a sham but because this system also involves the way the media report almost all issues, people do not know how to think, nor are they ever able to find information out on their own but only see/hear what they are told. (Investigative journalists have said for decades that when they uncover information not inline with governmental/corporate agendas, they risk being fired, losing their reputation and possibly even their life). And this is, of course, exactly what governments want; masses of honest, hard-working people, being led in the wrong direction while being told the whole time that it's the right direction.

The only way for people to break free of this endless round of machinations and chicanery is to disconnect from the system (where government is essentially nothing more than a front for corporations and corporations are the majority stock holder in government) is to drop their concerns about the system and create their own, community/neighborhood based families, clans and tribes, growing their own food, building their own housing, helping one another with their various tasks and in general, re-connecting with themselves, each other and Nature.

Government, especially as a national institution, is, and probably always has been, a priori, corrupt.

Thanks again, jr
