James, I just want to say that I love the way your mind works. You are THE BOMB. I found you through Claudia…I have her book, which was really helpful to me in starting an Ashtanga practice. But I thought to myself, “no wonder she married him”…love you! I’m going through transition in my life and am really focused on living a more meaningful existence. Yes, it’s all the same. The reason i think this is I always ask, “who am I?” I’m not the body. I’m not my thoughts. I’m not my past experiences. So what’s underneath? And how is that different from anyone else? Or from the entire universe?

Yes, two things: there’s a truism that external life is just hard and frustrating. But the way we deal with it on the inside can get better and better, bringing relief from the suffering. Also, how we deal with things internally will often reflect on what ultimately happens to us externally.

Thanks Chimera. Don’t forget to give your idea-writing a chance to breathe. In other words, the ideas don’t have to be good, particularly at first. The fact that you are writing them down will force your brain to get better at it.
